The Peralta Community College District (PCCD) consists of four colleges (Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College) located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are seeking a partnership with a four-year University in Japan that would like to explore the possibility of accepting our credits for transfer to their institution. As part of the U.S. public education system, PCCD provides graduates with the opportunity to transfer and enroll at four-year Universities that offer Bachelor of Arts degrees, Bachelor of Science degrees, and post-graduate studies leading to a variety of Masters and Doctoral Degrees.
PCCD is one of the top transfer institutions to four-year Universities in the U.S. All college level units taken at PCCD are transferable to four-year public and private universities, including the University of California system and the California State University system. PCCD also offers two-year Associate and Vocational degrees. In addition, PCCD has developed special partnerships with many universities in the San Francisco Bay Area, including UC Berkeley. Many of our students transfer to top Universities like UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and Stanford University, as well as other top universities throughout the U.S., such as NYU, MIT and Harvard.
