In order to effectively serve as a leader of globalization in Japanese society, we have established systems as well as various numerical targets in pursuit of our vision. In particular, we set numerical targets for the number of inbound/outbound students and the number of partner universities. If focusing on the U.S., the kind of partnership in which we are most interested is student exchange since the U.S.A. is by far the most favorite destination for study abroad for Japanese students. To satisfy the students’ needs we still need to increase the number of partner universities, whilst increasing the number of courses taught in English here to attract students from partner universities. We also have a plan to set up a new short-term program focused on business or sustainability for those who have interest in going study abroad but hesitate to apply for semester or full year exchange program.
